About

Creative Cuppa Seminar Series (CCSS) is a RTIF funded long-term student-staff research seminar series physically associated with the Department of Media and Communication. The project is based in the University of Leicester and aimed to bring together researchers and any interested people from different disciplines or knowledge backgrounds, both inside and outside the University, to generate, discuss, and criticize issues relating to their experience or understanding of using the new media technologies. The Department of Media and Communication (DMC) is part of the University of Leicester’s Faculty of Social Sciences. It was newly launched in 2006 and evolved out of the Centre for Mass Communication Research (CMCR). CMCR was the first academic centre to be established in the United Kingdom dedicated to the study of media and communication. The launch of the Department of Media and Communication is testament to the growing commitment being made by the University of Leicester to research and teaching in this area.
